Teachers training course curriculum


Advanced Techniques Training/Practice Includes asana, pranayama's, kriyas (Shat Karma & Shankhaprakshalana – washing of intestines), chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques.

Anatomy & Physiology Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc)

Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers The study of yoga philosophies (Patanjali Yoga Sutra & Bhagavad Gita), yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.

Practicum Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.

Other Facilities

Visas

Check whether you are required to arrange a visa before you enter India. Be careful to apply for a tourist visa, whilst you will be studying yoga here, a student visa is a very different visa and you will require supporting information which only academic establishments like universities can provide. Your reason for visiting should be stated as a tourist. Foreign Nationals are required to bring their original passport with a valid visa for India. 

Telephone/email

Email and telephone facilities are available. However, the facilities are limited so guests must keep email and telephone communications to a minimum, to allow all guests equal access. Mobile phone signals from all major companies are available in the resort compound. Use of mobile phones in all classes, dining areas and also inside the rooms are prohibited due to the respect to other's privacy.

Certification & Assessments


The students are continuously assessed throughout the course at all levels. There will be a practical observation session towards the end of the course to evaluate the understanding and skills of the students.

Students must have your full-time attendance in the yoga, Meditation and Philosophy classes, and if the attendance is less, no certificate will be issued.

This timetable is subject to change as per weather conditions.Classes are held on 6 days a week and 7th day is for optional Trips to Cultural and spiritual places.

06.00 - 06.30 AM: Meditation
06.30 – 07.00 AM: Herbal Tea
07.00 – 09.30 AM: Asana Pranayama
09.45 AM -10.45 AM: Breakfast(Veg.)
11.00 – 12.00 Noon: Bhagavad Gita
12.15 – 01.15 PM: Patanjali Yoga Sutra
01.15 - 01.45 PM: Fruits
01.45 - 02.15 PM: Karma Yoga
02.15 - 02.45 PM: Group Discussion /Self Study 
02.45 - 03.30 PM: Free
03.30 – 04.00 PM: Personal Coaching(for students who are in need of care)
04.00-06.30PM:Asana,Pranayama, Meditation
07.00 PM: Dinner(Veg.)
08.00 - 09.00 PM: Anatomy / video / other related lecture / bhajan

Who can Participate?

Level 2 (300 Hr) course are able to attend only is they are graduates of level 1 (200 hrs) at any approved school. A copy of diploma certificate of level 1 should be included with the application form.

What to bring?

Casual comfortable clothes, yoga mat, toiletries, notebooks, pens, slip-on sandals, rain wear, flashlight, insect repellent, alarm clock, water bottle, sunscreen...etc. Smoking is strictly prohibited.
